Get to know us!

The following is a little information about those working behind the scenes at The Garden, our Crew and who they are.

 


Sarah Irvan
Receptionist / Artisan

Sarah is an up-and-coming artist who currently specializes in cartooning and Manga. Sarah has been crafting her drawing skills and unique points of view for the past 13 years. She is very eager to learn and try different forms and types of art. Her interests include Surrealism, Manga, Cartooning, piano, guitar, some forms of culinary art, and most forms of dance. Sarah currently works for The Garden as a receptionist and an artist. When she isn’t working she’s usually doing crazy things with her friends, drawing, playing piano or guitar, or just hanging out with her family.  Sarah's Art will be displayed and available for purchase in our Garden Store.

Introducing our New Media Director-

Media Director

Matt Hass was born in Russia and raised in an orphanage until he was about four years old. Later a loving family adopted him and he has been with them ever since. Due to hard life transitions, he later found himself at Hope House, a Children's Home in Marsing, Idaho at age 10. Matt spent much time in his early childhood drawing, playing with Lego’s, writing, and creating. It was his way of dealing with stress, sorrow, and grief, but out of pain, inspiration and a true talent and giftings were birthed that exceeded what Matt could have imagined for himself. A staff person at Hope House recognized his talents and abilities and provided Matt with the resources to expand his horizon and abilities in the creative arts.

Matt has always been ambitious and is constantly expanding his knowledge in the media realm.  He has worked on some amazing productions, including camera operator and web designer for various reality TV shows, digital artist internship for Industrial of Light and Magic, and various media jobs around Idaho including directing, writing, production assistant, producing, and more.  Matt has tackled some pretty intense projects in all areas of media, but never really felt fulfilled in his work.  When Matt was a senior at Northwest Nazarene University he was hired here at The Garden and now loves being able to utilize the resources for God's will!  The Garden is excited to have Matt in our crew and know that he is bringing his A-game to Kingdom projects and business ventures we are undertaking.  Matt has our media studios (green screen room), up and running and is excited to meet with clients, other media driven teams, directors, producers and individuals to see his abilities and The Gardens stellar facilities put to full use.  Welcome Matt we are blessed to have such a talent on our team!!

Benjamin O'Brien
Graphic Arts / Photographer

Ben is from Seattle Washington and comes from a large family; he is the youngest of six.  Ben is currently a student at BSU studying Graphic Design with an emphasis on Photography.  He loves to dive, fishing, sailing, swimming…. He may be part fish!  Ben has some awesome underwater footage that will soon be available to view on his Photography page which is currently under construction.  Besides being a world-class shutter-bug, Ben enjoys playing Guitar and is a fantastic graphic artist.  How much talent can fit in one guy?


Most of the photos that you see on The Garden’s website are the creative works of our Mr. O’Brien.  A Web-page will be available soon to purchase Ben's pictures and to view his diverse gallery of photographs and art.

Executive Editor - Garden Publications

Mindy is a down-to-earth hometown girl. She is the mother of two talented and beautiful children and the wife of a wonderful guy who amazes her every day. Naturally, she loves to write but also enjoys encouraging and serving others in their own life journeys. Mindy has spent the last three years taking on various freelance projects in both the technical and creative writing fields. She believes learning is a lifelong process and to this day continues her formal education at Boise State University. Go Broncos!
